Feels real. Very impressive.
New EC135 Helicopter En Route to Destination
-

Dear Aerofly FS users,
we are finally ready to present to you the latest addition to our fleet, the EC135 helicopter in a beta version. You may ask, why don't you officially release it? While it's already in a very accurate, complete and enjoyable state, we intend to further tweak some parameters to make the EC135 just as perfect as the R22.
We are currently working together with real pilots and try to incorporate their feedback to futher optimize the flight model. So just keep in mind, the EC135 is still a work in progress.
Please also keep in mind, it's a beta version. So you may find bugs here and there. Especially our new navigation feature with selectable departures and approaches needs some more tuning, so we would appreciate your feedback here.
As of know the public available Steam channels 'alpha' and 'beta' currently contain the same builds. If you want to opt out of this beta version, switch back to the 'default' channel again.
This is a huge improvement over the R22. Feels more like a heavy helicopter. Great panel choices. Thanks.
Now that we have the EC135, we are going to start bugging Mark for the paint kit. More default liveries please - only N reg is law enforcement.

I love flying the EC135 at 145 kt IAS at 1000ft AGL. It really get's you to your destination quickly.
Autopilot is also very nice to have

Well that was an amazing experience! Soo much speed and power! Sounds are great in 1st and 3rd camera, actually everything is great. I'm in love again, thanks IPACS!!

Is a paintkit available for the EC135? Would be nice to be able to do some customisation. Great work, it already flies very well, and the autopilot works great!

A short flight with a great heli....Thanks IPACS !!!

All EC-135 Pilots,
If you want a fun test of your mastery of the new heli, just position yourself in downtown San Francisco at dusk/night and first fly through (I don't mean under!) the Golden Gate bridge at maybe 80 knots and then do the Bay Bridge where you really have to be even more careful staying low and centered (catch a rotor (crash) and up you go). You have to go up and over at Treasure Island - there is no tunnel. Really a blast! Thanks IPACS for a great new view on scenery (do your point-at turn-arounds using the Transamerica building for example and a fun to fly experience - especially for us fixed wing guys! This is just sensational in VR (especially the Reverb )

Love it! , if you fly it within its limits it feels really good, and its nice and fast. thanks Jan and the team. You guys Rock!

Sometimes (most times) the paint kit is a long while coming so maybe IPACS could simply remove the small German flag on the tail and the D-HACF registration under the main rotor on this repaint and we can fly someplace other than Germany until the paint kit arrives.
A paintkit for the EC135 would be great. We would love to apply some Hawaiian liveries on it.
Maybe IPACS could make a good will gesture for us while we wait for the paint kit. An idea or suggestion.
Top - As is
Middle - Remove German Flag on Tail and remove D - Number registration.
Bottom - Use middle one and add a few country Flags on the Tail - No registration.

Congratulations team ipacs .. The videos of the new E-135 helicopter looks wonderful .. I am not a fan of helicopters but this one looks fantastic ... Much better than the R22 ... It is a much larger helicopter .. With more systems buttons and switches .. A question has autopilot ?????
-
Yes, the EC135 is autopilot equipped.

Anyone know what the maximum rate of clime (vy) speed is for the ec 135?

65 Knots for the T2. This is a T1 so it should be close.

I took my turns in the new EC135 / H135, and I really like her. I also found the manual (google for "EC 135 manual"), so powering up the engine and setting up navigation is a breeze. I already landed on a Dutch frigate - but have yet to reach the level of ADAC pilots landing in the middle of crowded streets right next to lamp posts.
I also noted that the Wettergerät needed a small fix to understand the new flightplan format as seen in the Aerofly FS2 Beta releases MCF files. This has already been taken care of.

You had better luck than me. All I get are spam scams and manuals for RC models.

Well, I got my EC 135 manual from rotorsim.de.

Does anyone know if there is a manual yet for the Ec 135?
I see it has the twin throttle grip, any plans to have separate throttle assignment?
is it just me or does the throttles not move when attached to the throttle axis?
