that would be the first time we saw REAL WATER in AFS2!
That is correct! Just a little taste

Floats? Just land there:)
One of the animals is moving.
Yes but to see the animated manatee you can't use the Developer camera!
It pauses the sim y'see....
So the only solution is to land in the water and drive up onto the beach.
(Would you leave your Pitts in the brine??)
OK the view ain't bad
but c'mon IPACS:
Give us a 6 DOF camera attached to the plane, otherwise how will we see all the lovely eye candy??

Me too and I moved FS2 onto a new hard disk based on official recommendations. I wonder if with big scenery files a giant SSD will be needed to avoid FSX like loading times. Perhaps there is a software fix?
I get a bit frustrated by the amount of work done on airports rather than the aeroplanes, it is a flying simulator and I don't spend ten minutes taxying around the airport looking at the pretty fixtures. When I'm landing all that I'm looking at is the runway and my instruments, on take off it all vanishes unless you look out of the side windows.
I would have swopped the super detailed taxyway light for audio idents on the navigation radios, I wish more IPACS people were real pilots and appreciated the vehicle more.
Not the same people work on aircraft and scenery and sorry if the latest update and the 10,000 new switches and buttons and lots of new things like the start of FMSes werent enough for you.

Bird Key Bank Island of Monroe County about 45Mi west of KeyWest has some extra's. I flow above in absolute silence, not to disturbing the sea-creatures
underneath, a sealplane was the only solution(only fro a while...I crashed in the open see and lost my plane but was luckely myself unharmed, only wet):

Very Nice.

Dry Tortugas National Park just screams for a seaplane or floatplane in AFS2.

So many fantastic things to discover in the new Sth Florida DLC. Also flying in the dark over Miami shows the power of AFS2:

Ray, you do know that none of that actually exists there, right?

It does in my flight sim.
The real place has float planes and a helipad. The water storage and windmills are just a matter of time before they will be operational. Do you think they will change the name to Wet Tortugas? I doubt they will ever have a sand runway though.
This has to be the most remote national park in the US system.

Ray
