What source do you use? How do you make the water mask?

frui, whitav8,
For Hawaii I used Virtual Earth (FSET).
But there are too many clouds from Virtual Earth and need cleanup. I only test, and did not spend time on it. I therefore deleted the "work files", but have retained the converted files for AFS2 (scenery).
The "overall light" in the AFS2 is good. But good aerial photos I download with FSET and converts to AFS2 then loses some of its "color saturation". The scenery is being "washed out" (hope you understand what I mean).
I have therefore compensated for this, by letting the downloaded BMP files from FSET undergo a process in Photoshop. I have made an "Action" that adjusts Brightness (-10) and Contrast (+30). Photoshop then performs this process automatically for all of the files before conversion.
Here's an example from - I think - Idaho:
Good aerial photo directly from Virtual Earth (FSET):
Same aerial photo after the Brightness/Contrast process in Photoshop:
It may seem exaggerated. But converted to AFS2 it looks very good on my pc. Perhaps this is affected by different hardware? I'm using a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

They are super saturated.
BTW in Vegas if you fly through the Luxor light beam, it's an "object" and will crash.
We know about the Luxor beam, we just haven't had a chance yet to fix it.

You know there's a hidden flag pole inside that light, right?

And I have a few from Blythe, California, between Palm Springs and Phoenix. This is really something different for a German.

Finally found a good destination for the Learjet 45 Flight Tutorial
I think you're going to like the route I have planned. After the Q400 tutorial I'm going to give my best once a gain, just be a bit patient and give me some time, other things on the todo list as well
But it's probably going to be good, aiming for high quality and a bit more depth again.
