Finally found a good destination for the Learjet 45 Flight Tutorial
I think you're going to like the route I have planned. After the Q400 tutorial I'm going to give my best once a gain, just be a bit patient and give me some time, other things on the todo list as well
But it's probably going to be good, aiming for high quality and a bit more depth again.
California?

California?
Yep, that is Santa Barbara Muni, looks quite neat when you approach from the west I think

Very good choice, what is your departure airport?

(should I tell him? why not)
Currently the route I have planned takes of from Bob Hope, north of L.A. towards the east. Right hand turn towards downtown L.A. and fly-by of the Hollywood sign. If you fly that departure select the Santa Monica VOR as a waypoint, then the depature off of runway 08 should take you right over the Hollywood sign, looks very scenic! After that short sight seeing tour I was going to intercept the VOR out of Santa Monica maybe.... then turn back on fms course and intercept FMS path. By then we're already at #TOD and I'd take it down with FLC, to 2000ft. Then fly the left hand downwind without the FMS, just in HDG select, prepare the ILS Runway 7 into Santa Barbara, intercept it with the autopilot on and then fly the rest manually. Vacate to the right after crossing the other runway, taxi down to the GA parking area, something like that.
On both airports at takeoff and landing you have quite a nice view, runways are not super long but long enough, taxi is kept as short as possible, with the short cut at the end it shouldn't take too long. It looks short on the map but with the outboard to the east away from the destination and the approach in the west of the destination it is actually a bit longer than it looks. But you have the destination in sight for long time, should be motivating
And it's along the coast if you don't manage to fly the FMS at least you'll have that to go by.
You should try the route, might be a bit until I finish the tutorial. Have other things on the todo list right now but I'll get to it ASAP.

KSNA, John Wayne, to Santa Barbara would be just as scenic and give you time to look around a little - you could still buzz the Hollywood sign when starting your approach to rwy07.
John Wayne was in one of the possible locations but I found it too boring to fly over the non populated high density areas. (no auto gen)
That's why I didn't use it. Van Nuys would have been cool as well but again I wasn't too happy with the terrain further south, mesh is too low resolution. And the airport itself looks too flat (as I described in other threads). I searched for almost 3 hours to find an airport that I liked enough, that looked good on departure and during taxi. That made me a bit sad, wished all airports I visited had better quality
That video was very nice
But if you compare the modeled Aerofly airport it doesn't come close to that
BTW, i have a very long list of airplane videos stored as a youtube playlist,
mainly airline pilots but also some cool fighter and GA action towards the end:

It's a shame that there are clouds in the imagery over Hawaii otherwise it would be really nice.

It's good to fly high mountains without floating trees
. Near Palmer Mountain.

OK, here is some progress with my personal project 'Florida Keys Package' featuring the Key West International airport. The complete package will include the Key West Airport, Marathon Airport, Key West NAS, and detailed scenery from Key West to Marathon Florida with night lighting and many buildings and structures
throughout.
